Come Fly with me… right into Valentines Day that is.

Attached are some samples of the upcoming February class.. Hope you can make it.

Valentines Day

I love Papertreyink, so when My husband and the girls asked me what I wanted for Christmas, it was a no brainer, I said a gift card.  I was able to pick out some really great sets that I have been eyeing, and this one set:  Tremendous Treats: Valentines was one that I couldn't wait to use when it came.

I havent included any sentiments yet.. but I'm thinking "your a sweetie"?
"ruff, love and happines" my six year old thought that one up.. its gotta a cute ring to it...and the others "come sail with me".. kinda corny?? but I'm sorta clueless with that one.
 I dig you??
 Pucker Up???  Love it!!
and last but not least.. "come fly with me".  I've been singing this song for days now..  This card is also the basis for my upcoming kids class.

With some of the left over images, I made a bunch of 3 by 3 cards.  Thought these would be great for the girls to give out to their teachers for valentines day.  I hear that one of them is a huge dog lover : )

Ice Cream...... Yum!!!

My local quilting guild puts on an ice cream social each June for all their members.  This year the woman who runs the social asked me to prepare 25 ice cream cone cards and ice cream chocolate lollipops for her to give to all her helpers.  She also wanted some business cards for me to display.. so here is what I came up with.

The ice cream cones were made using Stampin Up's Petal Cone die, and then cutting off one of the round flourishes, once that was done, add a piece red tape down the edge then seal.  Before adhering the flourishes (ice cream scoops) run the cone thru the big shot using the Square Lattice Die, this will create the lines that look like an ice cream cone.  Easy Peasy!!

For the business card box, I cased the following instructions  http://istampedthat.com/2011/03/27/business-card-holder-video-tutorial/, changing it up a bit for the ice cream social.  Michelle is such a wonderful and talented designer....  make sure to check out the other items on her blog.

MOJO Monday 194

I'm on a roll now, my second mojo monday entry sketch.  I happened to ask my husband what he saw when he looked at this sketch and he said it looked like a curtain, so I went with it... I thought of my three little girls and their dance recital... For this sketch I used many Stampin up elements, a retired SU set called tu- tu terrific and believe it or not retired Halloween paper, the stripes were perfect for the illusion of a wavy black velvet curtain.. I placed 3 pearls on each of the tu-tu's to give it some oomph!!
